Cube House
Porto, Portugal | 2013
Designed for a young couple, and having the city of Porto as the background, the Cube House was an exercise where the volumetric form was deconstructed having function in mind. The layout of the residence responded to the couple specific needs, while also addressing important issues like solar control or spacial delimitation.
One of the main features of the project was the connection with the exterior, or the lack of connection, that served has theme for the composition of the elevations. The materials were also carefully selected looking for thermal optimisation and weather resistance, while also responding to the client aspirations.
